The little daughter recommended I read this one. It falls under the "I like reading kids' books because they're light and short" rule; on the other hand the lightness in this one is a deep lightness, and I enjoyed it more than the typical random kids' book.
Mostly it's a teen love story, about trust and happiness and sadness and love and friendship and growing up and stuff. Then there's the fact that the couples are a completely random assortment of genders, and that it's set in a town where PFLAG is as popular as the PTA, the local Scout troop has seceded from the Boy Scouts because of their policy on gays, and the Homecoming Queen is also the quarterback on the football team.
We need pictures of the world as it ought to be, and this is one of them. A sweet and funny story about youth and love and perfect blue evenings.
